Cute Coffee Filter Wreath!

I saw an adorable project on a few other blogs so I thought I'd try it myself.  I took a white foam wreath that I purchased at Craft Warehouse and unbleached coffee filters.  I decided to use t-pins instead of hot glue and save my fingers from the burns!  All I did was gather the coffee filters in a flower and pin into the wreath.  I attached a leaf pattern ribbon to the back and hung it on the pantry door.  So easy!  I plan to change out the ribbon for the winter holiday as well, which will be very easy because it's just pinned on.  This wreath only took an hour and I did it while I watched tv.  Give it a try, it's fun and really easy! What do you think?

I actually just bought some of the non-bleached filters to try but wasn't sure how it would look, but you've inspired me! Thanks for sharing. I'm a new follower! :)

  10. Love this!! I made paper peonies by dying white filters this last summer (you can find them on my blog) but this seems simpler and has a big impact! I am having my first link party tomorrow at Vintage Pollyanna. Will you join me? http://vintagepollyanna.blogspot.com/2010/11/join-me-on-tuesdays-for-new-link-party.html

  13. The back is flat, it's just a white styrofoam wreath with no coffee filters on it...lays nice and flat that way.

  14. Am I totally lame for having no idea where to purchase un-bleached coffee filters AND t-pins?! Yikes. If I were more awesome, I'd be making this RIGHT NOW. It's on my to-do list. LOVE it! Thanks for linking up to What I Whipped Up Wednesday!

  15. Hi Kimmie, I got the coffee filters at Wal-Mart (right next to the white ones) and they are super cheap (like $1 or so for 100). I would suggest 3 packages for this project. T-pins can be found in the sewing isle (also at Wal-Mart)and look like long straight pins with a "t" shape at the top. You can use hot glue too, but I am really good at burning my fingers so I opted for the pins. Good luck, I'm sure it will turn out great!
