MonaVie!

I'm so excited and I just have to share with everyone the fanastic new products that my husband and I are using. I've seen MonaVie around town and didn't really think much of it but I knew it was acai berry juice and that's about it.  Well, a friend of mine is a distributor and brought a bottle of the MonaVie Active over for us to try.  All I can say is, Wow! It's so much more than the acai berry in that bottle!!

I'm pretty skeptical about health supplements that claim to help you because as most of us know, the products don't usually live up to the hype. I'm very much a "I'll belive it when I see it" kind of girl, always have been, and I question just about everything!  We started drinking the juice twice a day and I have to say, I feel better already.  I actually feel good and have more energy than I did a week ago.  I didn't think it was possible.  My hubby who suffers from cronic back pain actually said to me today, that he definately feels pretty decent (yes, only after a week).  To hear him say that is the equivalent of me saying I'm ready to go run a 5k...seriously, he is on medication daily to deal with his cronic pain, misses work, uses heat and ice and bi-monthly visits to his chiropractor just to stay sane.  I seriously can't wait until we've been drinking the MonaVie for a few months.  I've since heard story after story about how it's helped others to feel better.  Seriously, who doesn't know at least one person with a bad back, or bad knees or some sort of aches and pains?

The other great products they have are for weight loss. The protein shake powder and supplements taste great (not your crappy slim fast here folks, this is good stuff) and is packed with fruits and vitamins, not sugar like the other brands.  I could stand to loose a good 20 if not 30 lbs, so, I'm going on that weight loss journey as soon as my shipment arrives and will keep you all posted on my progress.

Are you curious about it?  Please, check out  http://theproctors.mymonavie.com/ and if you would like to try it for yourself, just order a bottle and give it a go!

I got so excited about the health benefits of this product that I decided to become a distributor not just a customer, (it's only $39) so I figure 'why not'!!!  If you decide you'd like to try the products you can order directly from my website or if you'd like to become a distributor, I can get you set up for that as well, even long distance (we can e-mail or speak on the phone).

If you're local to the area I live in (Boise, Idaho) and you want to come to a tasting party, I'm having one on Wednesday the 27th at 7:30.  You'll get to see what it's all about and sample the products.

One last thing that really got me excited was the fact that the friend that brought me the first bottle to try was a woman I went to high school with and her husband I knew from my previous employer because his electrical company did some work for us.  Anyway, are you ready for this?  They are making an extra $100,000 a year being distributors and have only been distributors for 2 1/2 years...how crazy is that?

Spiffing Up The Front Porch for Spring

Today was probably the nicest day we've had this year, it was beautiful and nearly 70 and sunny. I decide my poor neglected front porch could use a little love.  I didn't take any before pictures but if you can imagine nothing more than the furniture here, that's about what it looked like along with some dirt, dust and leaves, I think you get the picture.

Here's what it looks like after a little cleaning up and decorating.  Once the shrubs in the front fill in completely it really provides some nice privacy.  I'd like to put up a shade to block the evening sun as well.  Every year I hang baskets from the porch as well so I can't wait until it's time to shop for those again this year.  It's ready for a good book and a nice glass of wine.  I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Mini Home Tour

I couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon and linking up to Poppies At Play with a mini home tour. I don't have a lot of pictures, but here is what I have (that are worthy of sharing at the moment).  You won't see a picture of my kitchen because it's not picture perfect at the moment! I always usually have stuff on all or most of the counters, and it's most often our mail.  So, you don't get to see the kitchen this time around, but I'll share a few other rooms with you.

The Master Bedroom:  The headboard wall is getting a color change soon. I changed the bedding and curtains to black and cream, but haven't had time or the energy to move this very heavy bed to paint the wall! It's on the list though.

The Master Bath:  This room got a makeover in the last year or so, due to water damage. We replaced the tub with a shower and I repainted the walls. I also painted the vanity cabinets.  The new wall paint is Brown Teepee.  This room is pretty small so it really was hard to photograph in one piece!

The Living Room:  I have had the walls painted this Ralph Lauren color for a few years and I think I'm about over it.  Time to lighten up! I'm going to change the red and yellow to a more neutral color as soon as I figure out what color that will be!

This picture was taken a while back, and the star is now gone and replaced with the clock.  The lense was dirty so please forgive the spots!  The mantel is constantly changing as well!

Pay no attention to the plastic bag or crooked rug in this photo (file under 'keeping it real'). We have a cute Boxer who loves to run in from outside with dirty paws so rugs are a life saver! I try to catch her and wipe her paws, but if you have a dog, you know how that goes!

The Dining Room

The Laundry Room

I wish I had more to share, but for now that's it!  My house is a work in progress and I have a million ideas and not enough time as I'm sure you all can relate to.  One room at a time as they say, right?
 Thanks for stopping by!

Parade of Homes and Office Redo

Greetings! If you haven't had a chance to browse the amazing homes from this year's Parade by Poppies At Play, please check it out!  I browsed my way through all of them so far and I'm stunned by how wonderfully decorative, creative and cool these spaces are.

These wonderful homes make me feel hopeful, creative, excited for my own possibilities, yet I can't help but feel inadequate at the same time (yep, keepin' it real folks), but oh well, I love them all anyway and I think you will too!

I've been working my tail off in our office to get it ready for painting. I'm searching for the perfect sage (ish) green paint color.  If you have one, please share! I'm open to any and all suggestions.  I can't wait to finish it so I can share it with all of you!
